PowerShot D10- Canon’s First Waterproof Digicam

Late last February, Canon Philippines launched its first waterproof point-and-shoot digicam. Canon PowerShot D10 is waterproof down to 10 meters and freeze resistant to -10 degrees Celsius. This 12.1 megapixel camera is ready to go off-road, underwater, or up to the top polycarbonate exterior keeps it shockproof up to 4 feet. The 3x optical zoom lens with OIS closes the gap between you and nature’s best, and Servo AF keeps your focus sharp even when your subject is on the move.

It is powered by Canon’s coveted DIGIC 4 imaging processor ensuring an improved image quality, enhanced functionality, accelerated image processing, and finer noise reduction in high-ISO images. It is also equipped with new Smart Auto Shooting mode with Scene Detection Technology designed to eliminate all frantic menu handling and manual switching-about between different scene settings. Big hard buttons make for easy and provide instant access to key features.

And guess what? This cool gadget has face plates that can be interchanged with optional color panels, much like a mobile phone. You may choose front covers in orange, gray, and camouflage colors. Other optional accessories are soft case with carbine hook, and a choice of neck and shoulder straps.
